Phnom Penh is a large, but pleasant city - one of the nicer ones in the
parts of Southeast Asia that I've visited. There are three rivers that converge
here, but it is the Tonle Sap that flows by the downtown commercial area, where
most tourists like to stay and hang out. And this part of Phnom Penh is very
pleasant. There are many nice restaurants, outdoor cafes, and a nice green area
for walking along the riverfront.
I hope you enjoy my photos of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
The riverfront area of the Tonle Sap River is very
pleasant. They've created green space along the riverfront and many people like
to walk here or sit and relax and watch the river flow by. There are also many
outdoor cafes where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, cold beer or a good meal.

The Royal Palace is very near the riverfront area and is open to the public
for self-guided tours. The architecture and grounds are quite beautiful.

Here's another view of the beautiful Royal Palace.

Here is my friend Marady, who showed me around Phnom Penh and taught me a
little about Khmer food. She's a sweety. In this photo, we're at Kirirom
National Park. Kirirom is maybe 1.5 or 2 hours from Phnom Penh, but a scenic
and pleasant place to visit and get away from the city.
